I started out conservative, letting a pack of three runners lead the way... the first half mile felt fairly easy... when I heard 2:15 at the 800m split, I felt as if I could take the race... I made a move on the pack and one of them came with me... my 800m-1200m was very strong, and the last 400m was just "hang on as long as possible"... my new and improved stride felt good, but I'm not quite used to it... anyways, the other runner was breathing down my neck from 800m on, we both kicked and tied up at the end, I was beaten by a step. Overall, I don't think I would change anything, I learned that I may have to get more patient when it comes to trying to take over a race... it was a solid effort, the wind was strong and the course was not fast... I felt I could really roll for the second half of the race and ran 2:09 for the second half, not bad, but will get better!
