I ran 25 seconds slower this year, probably because this is the first year that I walked... a few switchbacks were just staggering and I figured walking would help me regain composure, which it did, but it didn't help my time. I did achieve my fastest time to the 3 mile mark, 20:43 (6:27, 12:43 (6:16), 20:43 (7:00) for each of the first three miles), but then I really fell off on the steep switchbacks later in the race.
